With a legacy spanning over 35 years, the Masoneilan 74000 series valves play a critical role in sophisticated oil refining processes. One notable method is Residual Hydrocracking, which operates downstream of the vacuum unit to transform “bottom-of-the-barrel” residuals into valuable mid-distillates, such as diesel. This fluid contains contaminants from its origin and particulate matter, and when mixed with abrasive catalysts, it can rapidly damage standard control valves, sometimes within days.
