Masoneilan 33000 Series features a patented design combined with advanced manufacturing techniques to deliver exceptional performance. This series includes triple offset capabilities that facilitate bi-directional, isolation tight shutoff across a broad spectrum of pressures and temperatures, suitable for both control and on/off applications. The third offset angle of the disc, paired with a metal-to-metal seating surface, minimizes friction, ensuring effective isolation tight shutoff in both on/off and high throttling control valve scenarios. The robust Masoneilan 33000 series butterfly valve guarantees a high level of zero leakage performance while offering a more economical solution compared to larger gate, globe, or ball valve technologies commonly employed in various isolation applications.
The innovative design and manufacturing techniques of the Masoneilan 33000 Series integrate high-performance, triple offset features into conventional butterfly valve technology, delivering exceptional performance within a lightweight framework.
Our proprietary seat and seal technology ensures a more dependable valve, utilizing a durable metal-to-metal seal that meets API 607 and ISO EN 10497 fire resistance standards, while achieving zero bi-directional leakage. The advanced manufacturing of the seating components into an offset conical shape minimizes friction during throttling, only increasing resistance at the final closure when the valve seat contacts the disc.
A design centered on circular conical sealing technology results in superior low-friction seating with optimal flow capacity (Cv). In contrast, traditional designs employ elliptical seals, which generate higher drag, friction, and interference in the flow profile, leading to increased wear and a decrease in the overall flow capacity of the valve.
The Masoneilan 33000 series complies with EPA Method 21 for certified low leakage (Low-E) and meets ISO fugitive emission standards as per ISO-15848 under both helium and methane conditions. The rotary action of a butterfly valve naturally minimizes the introduction of external debris (dust) into the packing box compared to linear valves, resulting in less wear on sealing components and ensuring long-term emissions reduction.
Engineered with metal-to-metal seats and an optional extended bonnet design, the 33000 series is perfectly suited for maintaining zero leakage performance in extreme conditions, including LNG cryogenic environments (-196 C) and fire-resistant settings that require API 607 and ISO EN 10497 certification.
When it is necessary to perform critical maintenance, the design of the Masoneilan 33000 Series offers significant advantages. The incorporation of field-replaceable seat rings and a two-piece disc design facilitates rapid inspection, removal, and replacement without the need for disassembly, thereby conserving valuable operational time.
